Golf Carts, Bicycles, Pedestrians

Golf Carts

Golf carts must use the roadways in and around OTOW with two exceptions:

  • If a path is provided AND LABELED as "Golf carts MUST use this path" (along 99th Street Road, Main Gate at SR 200), then carts must use the path provided.
  • The paths along 99th St. are “golf cart required”, even though they are not labeled, and are very narrow. On these paths, pedestrians have the right of way.

You must register your golf cart with OTOW every 2 years.

You must provide proof of liability insurance (100-300). You can purchase insurance from Allstate or other providers. It will cost about $50 - $120 / year depending on your choice of coverage.

You must have all drivers sign a release of liability form.

Your cart will be checked for safety, including lights, brake lights, blinkers, buzzers and all.

If you don’t have lights, you can’t drive at night.

OTOW Private Golf Cart Rules

Bicycles

Bicycles are expected to follow the vehicle rules of the road, and to drive on the roadways at all times. Bicycles are not expected to use the PEDESTRIAN ONLY paths alongside the roadways. Where MULTI-PURPOSE paths are provided for golf-cart and bicycle and pedestrian use, bicycles must use those paths.

Pedestrians

Pedestrians should use pathways alongside the roadways whenever the paths are provided.

Walkers should NOT "cut through" the landscaping as a shortcut.

Walkers should NOT use the golf course cart paths as walking paths.

Pedestrians have the right of way.
